I went into my 20-hour-a-week class at dealer school feeling ahead of the game. Baccarat payouts and mechanics came easily; since I already knew how to play Blackjack, I figured that module would be a breeze.

But then life hit hard. Between working full-time driving for Uber and Lyft, and making sure my grandmother got safely to and from the hospital to see my grandfather after his stroke, my schedule completely broke. Suddenly, I was sitting in Blackjack class having absolutely no idea what was happening. For someone who is usually on top of learning, that was a terrifying feeling.

The anxiety was incredibly real. The pressure of the class was so intense that multiple people actually fainted during the first audition—it was all anyone could talk about. I started to genuinely fear I was going to wash out and fail my own audition if I couldn't find a way to catch back up.

They say necessity is the mother of invention. I desperately needed a way to drill payouts and build muscle memory between rides or in hospital waiting rooms.

When I couldn't find a single app on the market that mirrored the high stakes of the live floor, I decided to build one myself.

I brought the early versions into class. My instructors tested it, my fellow students drilled with it, and the results were undeniable. I watched classmates who didn't practice outside of class struggle and quit, while those using the app built speed, confidence, and flawless muscle memory. I realized I wasn't just saving my own audition; I was solving a massive gap in casino training: the lack of accessible, on-the-go practice. When you're already working full-time, raising a family, or going to school, finding uninterrupted hours to stand at a physical practice table is nearly impossible. You need a way to drill payouts constantly, anywhere, at any moment your busy schedule allows. That realization sparked a passion, and the Dealer Training Suite was born.
